Managing woods for local interests
With funding from the Green Man Trust, Llangattock Community Woodlands has installed a defibrillator and cabinet at their base in Llangattock. This is the latest addition to the facilities, which also includes a composting toilet and all weather cover for the seated area.
The defibrillator will be registered with the Welsh Ambulance Service so is available for anyone to use if needed.
Pop along to Bluebell Woods, Crickhowell on Saturday 2nd September to see how charcoal is traditionally produced.
Weather permitting, we’ll be at Bluebell Woods on 5th & 6th August with our charcoal kilns to demonstrate how we produce charcoal. We’ll also be selling some bird boxes that we’ve made from old pallets & hopefully some bags of charcoal. Please pop along.
