Please join us for a morning of tree planting, building a bug hotel and helping out in our small tree nursery finishing with a hot cuppa and cake. The tree planting is on steep ground so appropriate footwear please and please bring a spade.

We are pleased to be able to publish the Chair’s Annual Report for 2022-23. Chair Jackie Charlton noted the many achievements in the year and thanked all the volunteers and partners for their support and commitment.

“We will have notched up an amazing 4567 volunteer hours between October 2021 up to end of September 2022. We built a compost toilet, put in French Drains, and laid the foundations for a new storage shed. Thank you to everyone who contributed to all that!!”

Llangattock Community Woodlands has been awarded funding from the Brecon Beacons Local Nature Partnership to extend the wildflower meadow at its base in Llangattock. The grant will also support the purchase of 4 old variety fruit trees.

We planted a trial wildflower meadow a couple of years ago and are pleased that we can use our skills and knowledge to extend the meadow using a suitable seed mix. The ground will be prepared over the next few months for sowing in late February.
